These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Mealie Go mobile app ("the App"), provided by Vorisek Labs ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Mealie Go is a free, open source mobile client for Mealie, a self-hosted recipe manager. The App does not include a server, a backend, or any account system of our own. To use it, you supply the address of a Mealie server — one you run yourself, or one operated by someone else — and the App connects to it directly.
We do not operate, control, monitor, or have any access to the Mealie server(s) you connect the App to. We are not responsible for that server's uptime, security, data retention, or the accuracy of any content stored on it. Your relationship with that server — including account creation, authentication, and any data stored there — is entirely between you and whoever administers it (which may be you). If you lose access to your Mealie server or the data on it, we cannot help recover it.
Mealie Go's source code is published under the MIT License at github.com/Vorisek-Labs/mealie-go. You're free to inspect, fork, modify, and self-build the App under the terms of that license. These Terms of Service govern your use of the official published app; the MIT License governs your use of the source code itself.
Mealie Go is provided free of charge, with no ads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every Mealie server version or configuration.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vorisek Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the App — including data loss or unauthorized access occurring on a Mealie server you connect to, which is outside of our control.
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We may also revise these Terms from time to time; when we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Since we don't maintain any account or server on our end, there is nothing further to terminate on our side.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
